On the same day, the couple registered their marriage, accompanied by only close friends and family. They also revealed that their wedding nuptials would take place in Delhi next month. Since then, the star has only been complimented for her simple and low-key celebrations.
Swara had uploaded pictures of both herself and husband Fahad signing the marital registration paperwork. On February 17, she said on Twitter, "

On Saturday, she also playfully reacted to a fan who created a meme based on the American TV show The Office, starring Steve Carrell. The image portrayed Steve's dumb office staffer shaking his boss's hand and saying,
"People lauding the simplicity of Swara Bhasker's wedding / Swara Bhasker, who had planned a grand celebration in March." Swara responded, adding laughing face emojis, "Samanvay [the Twitter user] has read every thought in my head."

Swara wrote earlier this week on how the tendency of having a very grandiose wedding ceremony for couples puts them in indebtedness as they commence their married lives.
"The social media-fuelled wedding mania has also led to a fundamental shift in our fiscal values. This is a shift that consumer capitalism enabled EMI culture of ‘work hard, spend big’ has already engendered in the millennial generation, but the fantasy wedding craze generates a whole other set of fiscal habits. And, these are not very healthy!", she wrote in a Week piece.
