Kriti Sanon talks on Nepotism in Bollywood, reflects on her earlier days in the industry
Kriti Sanon has come of age. The Delhi-born actor, who has recently impressed all with her looks as Sita Mata in Adipurush
as the trailer of the most-awaited blockbuster of the year was released on 9th May, looks far more matured now than what she was even a few years back.
But the journey for this bubbly 32-year-old actress has not been easy. In a recent interview with a prominent Indian media house, the Bareilly Ki Barfi actress recalled how she had to struggle and even fight for a role in her initial days when she joined the industry 8 years ago.
Coming from a non-Bollywood background, the going was really tough for her, as nobody knew her name and it was difficult to get her name relate to her acting talent, the talented actress said.
In her own words, she craved for validation as an actor and often found it frustrating when what she got on the table was way less than what she knew she was actually capable of.

However, she also seemed to understand the industry’s point of view agreeing that in any industry, one needs time to create an impact and associate with the right kind of people. She said the best thing to do in such a situation is to give one’s best for whatever insignificant he is offered.
The beautiful actress, who made her acting debut in Heropanti, further added that every film she did had taught her something in life. And she knew that she was moving towards the right direction.
And her continuous learning and hard work started paying off with her back to back movies like Bareilly Ki Barfi, Luka Chuppi and Mimi doing very well at the box office. She also bagged her first best actress award soon after.
Currently, the actress has another big-budget film named, ‘The Crew,’ in her kitty, apart from the Prabhas and Saif starrer, Adipurush, which is going to release in mid-June.
