A House party is a full-on boisterous, cheerful, fun, wild enthusiastic and ultimate social gathering. The imagery that hits one’s mind by the idea is that of people insanely dancing, eating, drinking, chatting and all messed up! Everything is just crazy! The element that makes a house party more attractive than any outside party is the ‘amount of freedom,’ the liberty you get at a house party makes things insane, you do whatever you want to, till anytime, with anyone.
Usually, you got some of these restrictions while you’re outside. You can get drunk and don’t need to get worried about reaching home! It seems so insane and fun at the surface. But wait. Here are some guidelines for hosting a house party that aims for the host to work less and enjoy more.
1. Clean Your Home
Honestly, cleaning your home before the party is sought of useless because you have to do it all again. But yes, you can’t ignore this as you can’t leave your house dirty while the guests are there. The tip here would be don’t clean much before the party, just do that on the surface level and don’t clean the whole house but only the living area where the party is actually organized. Complete this activity of cleaning after the guests are gone because you will have to do either way. This will reduce your workload to an extent.
2. Set The Theme
Set any theme for your party. It can be based on anything you wish. For reference, you can pick from whether, any occasion, any color or absolutely anything you wish. Decorate your house according to the theme. You can also bring those cheesy placards or headgears or those party goggles to add a fun element for the guests.
3. Give It The Final Party Look
After decorating give it a last finish by using some handsome room fresheners or scented candles. Set the lighting. Use some LED lights or D.J lights. Dim the rest of the lights. Don’t forget to do the sound setup for proper and loud music. If possible, also arrange a mike. It would add a great fun element to the party.
4. The Food
Try not to cook the whole food on your own. For starters, you can use packaged food easily available in the market. For the welcome drinks, try to arrange some little bottles or drinks or other welcome drinks which could be served easily. You can also arrange a barbeque, if feasible. Try to use those biodegradable and disposable products for serving.
5. For The Fun
For fun, you can find some fancy games to interest your guests. Some games like number grid, spoons and eggs, off-limits necklace, truth and dare or treasure hunt would be a great choice. Arrange setup of the game, if any. Don’t forget to arrange gifts for the winners. You can also set up a karaoke or have a dance-off. It would be great fun indeed!
6. Get Set Go
After all the above steps, the final one would be, for you to get ready. Don’t find any shortcuts to this step. Keep ample time for this one. Try to style yourself, differently; after all, you are the host, which must be identifiable from your looks. And you are ready to bang!
