If anyone’s ever noticed, petty and sudden celebrations are always more happening and pleasure some than the planned ones! When you don’t have a plan, god has. What does not happen with your will happens with his. He always does his complete homework. We, as humans, many times put these celebrations, our relations on the backseat and keep on deferring them. We forget the very essence of our life. But, those few moments or events that appear surprisingly give us the chance to revisit and revive the essence of our life.
In the hideous world outside, there are only a few with whom you can actually cherish your life. And this is something to think about you do not need to have a perfect person or a perfect occasion. You don’t need to have a lover to celebrate Valentine’s, you don’t need to have friends to celebrate your birthday, you don’t need Santa to enjoy Christmas. The concept is to find peace, to cherish, to embrace the relations you have!
It is said that ‘life is beautiful,’ but it is also said that ‘life is short,’ I would say ‘relationships are even shorter.’ Can one really afford to lose or miss those moments, those few moments that are meant to be celebrated? Ain’t this the reason for our living? Ain’t this the reason of our actions, our hard work, or to bear all those sufferings?
Celebrating with those you love is always a good idea! Don’t find reasons, let reasons find you. Don’t look for a perfect Valentine’s, but embrace, and embrace the imperfectness of your life. Embrace your life with what you have, embrace god’s idea of your life, and give yourself those dear ones. It would be something irrational or nonlinear to say but celebrating with your loved ones is indeed an act equivalent to that of embracing god with all those devotional and spiritual acts we do. You can thank him either way. Our bonds and our relations are indeed an act of god or rather a gift of God. You see how we are born, we meet our parents, we make external relations, how we meet people, how the bond is led forward, the relation is created how magical all this is! It is a divine act indeed. Sometimes, if you ponder upon your relation with anybody and you will see how the whole cosmos was involved in it.
The idea is that one must not nullify this whole process by ignoring those relations at any point. Your partner, your family, friends or even any other heart-to-heart and soul to soul relationship without a name tag are all meant to be celebrated. You see, this is perhaps the absolute purpose of having a special day or festival in our life. Focus on ‘love,’ the ‘loved ones.’ Change the lenses and the world will be changed for you. If you gotta chance to celebrate a ‘day of love in your life, trust me you are lucky! Love your parents, love your family, your friends, and love everyone who loves you.
